Appointments & Referrals

To make an appointment for primary care or immunizations, please log onto the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or call the Central Appointment Desk at 707-423-3000, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

DGMC Referral Processes:

Step 1 - Referral received from Primary Care Manager
Step 2 - Visit Referral Management at the Patient Service Center (PSC) the same day you receive your referral
Step 3 - The PSC will activate your referral or book your specialty appointment if applicable and update your contact info

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Temporary Referral Waiver

DHA has implemented a temporary waiver of outpatient referral approval requirements for eligible TRICARE West Region beneficiaries enrolled in a TRICARE Prime plan, from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025, with services valid through June 30, 2025. This means that referrals from military or civilian PCMs do not require separate approval from TriWest during the waiver period.

  • Exceptions to the waiver include inpatient care, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)/Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) services, Laboratory Developed Test (LDT), Extended Care Health Option (ECHO) services, and other services that require pre-authorization.
  • Beneficiaries should take a copy of their PCM referral and the waiver approval letter to their specialty care visit. The form is available to the right of your screen.
