Pediatrics
The Pediatrics Clinic provides preventive, routine, and acute outpatient care for enrolled DoD beneficiaries.
Our Pediatrics Clinic is dedicated to improving the health of children from infancy through adolescence by providing safe, high-quality, evidence-based care. We partner with families to ensure they receive the appropriate level of care and resources available. Our clinicians offer comprehensive services, including assessment and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive care, telehealth options, specialist referrals, and counseling on risk factors. We also connect patients with other relevant prevention programs and offer vaccinations during scheduled wellness visits, subject to resource availability at the time of the visit.
We manage many chronic conditions. If any condition is beyond the scope of practice of the pediatricians in our clinic, the patient will be referred to a
specialist within DGMC or to TRICARE network.
Acute Appointments:
Acute appointments are for non-life-threatening illnesses that require patients to be seen by a clinician within 24 hours. Please call 707-423-3000 to request a same-day appointment, if available. Beneficiaries, dependents/retirees may utilize TRICARE network
urgent care centers if acute appointments are unavailable for that day.
For severe conditions, threatening loss of life, limb or eyesight, go to the nearest ER.
Routine Appointments:
Pediatric Routine appointments, also known as well-child visits or checkups, are regularly scheduled visits with a pediatrician or other healthcare provider to monitor a child’s growth and development and to prevent illness.
Routine visits are also used to continue the management of chronic conditions such as asthma, obesity, eczema, ADHD, depression and anxiety.
