Getting Care

Planned Closures

Labor & Delivery Unit

David Grant USAF Medical Center's Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit  will be temporarily suspending delivery services from April 8, 2025, through at least October 1, 2025. This is due to staffing limitations within the unit. Expectant mothers who go into labor during this period will be guided to neighboring hospitals for their deliveries.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Deliveries: No deliveries will occur at DGMC during this temporary suspension. Our nursing staff will be available to help patients find alternative delivery locations.
  • Prenatal Care: Prenatal appointments at the Women's Health Clinic and Family Medicine Residency Clinic will proceed as planned. Your healthcare provider will collaborate with you to create a delivery plan at another hospital.
  • Lactation Services: Lactation support will continue to be available.

We recognize this temporary change may be disruptive. We are dedicated to the safety and care of our patients and appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact the Women's Health Clinic at 707-423-5361/5311 or Labor and Delivery at 707-423-3619.
